A chemical peel is a controlled exfoliation that uses naturally derived acids (glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, lactic, TCA) to renew the superficial or medium layers of the skin, depending on the depth indicated. It stimulates cell regeneration, improves texture and softens pigmentation, acne scars and fine wrinkles.
At Harmony by Agas we choose the formula and the concentration according to skin phototype, any associated conditions and the patient's calendar: superficial peels for maintenance (no downtime) and medium peels for more marked correction of pigmentation and signs of ageing (with controlled flaking for 5-7 days).
It is a seasonal treatment, ideal in autumn and winter, when sun exposure is lower. We always pair the procedure with a home plan of strict sun protection and skin repair.
