The Blanching treatment for perioral wrinkles is designed to improve the fine lines and vertical wrinkles that appear around the lips, commonly known as “barcode lines”.
It uses a combined, personalised approach. First, the most marked wrinkles are carefully treated from the deeper planes with a cannula, in order to release the adhesions that hold the crease in place. A very precise, superficial injection of hyaluronic acid then follows, depositing small amounts over each wrinkle so that it softens gradually and naturally.
The aim is not to add volume to the lip, but to improve the quality and continuity of the perioral skin, soften the wrinkles and rejuvenate the contour of the mouth while respecting the patient's expression and anatomy.
The treatment requires a prior medical assessment and is carried out by Dr Ava-Guila Ardila Soto, who will determine the technique, the amount and the type of product best suited to each patient.
